Darren Nye Amazing album, very hard to choose a favourite track, very likeminded soulful techno style how it should be

Caleb Pepera Wow. Fantastic music to play out in Detroit. Thanks!

elius3 Trancey, dreamy, timeless, techno enough, a bit acid, deep organic layering of the sounds with an artisan touch... this '98 gem is superb from beginnning to end, difficult to pick a favourite, top tracks maybe would be the climax of "Monochrome Sky" - "Proxima Scope" - "Diadem" and the ethereal ending "Last moment", but really all tracks are gold except the only 1 I could skip after a bit is "Ancient architects".. the whole album is a 65 minutes mind journey.

da5idh Oh my word. Not heard this for ages, essential repress for anyone into classic Detroit, UK IDM and epic chord memory progressions. So many great tunes, picking one isn't enough. Favorite track: Systems For Zodiac.

Robert Webb Hints of acid, the Artificial Intelligence series, and the mellower side of Detroit techno (e.g. John Beltran). Top quality stuff, from start to finish. I can see why it's considered a lost classic.

about

I have to say of the many thousands of "electronica" CDs that I've listened to over the past 15 years, "Landform Code", is in my top 20, perhaps the top 10. I am mystified how little recognition this cd, and the other seven CD releases on the unknown FORM@RECORDS label, have gotten. It's sometimes difficult for small Japanese labels to get the worldwide distribution they deserve. Because of the lack critical or consumer attention, the CDs are hard-to-find, but well worth the effort. Each one is a classic example of Detroit techno, done right. "Landform Code" is perhaps the best on the label. It's right up there with Carl Craig, B12, early Black Dog, Ian O'Brien and As One. From the opening track, "Arcadia", it's clear that Virgo has listened to the masters, and has managed to retain a freshness that has eluded the pretenders.
